Chinese Box Featured on Black Sails

This box was made for the Grandfather in China during the early 1900, handed to the father ….. travelled the world and ended up with the son who lived in Johannesburg.

During a break-in this heirloom was stolen and never seen again. The son moved to the UK and whilst watching Black Sails on T.V. spotted this box. Contact was made with the producers of the show and it was handed back to family living in Somerset West.

The box had been abused a bit over the years and was given to us to sort the wood out before it went back to the rightful owner in the UK. Brassique in van der Stel sorted out all the metalwork.

It was sent back to the owner in the UK.
